amazon wish list

every year, i send my brother an e-mail aptly titled "buy me for christmas!"

contained in the e-mail are links to my amazon wish list.  he picks which books to buy, and i end up with a fantastic christmas gift.

this year, my list included:

the autobiography of mark twain.  this book is always sold out.  unfortunately it was still sold out at the time of his purchase, so he moved onto the next one. i'll definitely have to pick this up after i finish my other books.

so happy! i've been wanting to read this much thicker than anticipated book for awhile now.  let's face it, the term "siberia" is often the butt of jokes due to it being in the boondocks.  ian frazier sheds light on this vast land, and i'm already filled with new snippets of information and history (i'm only on chapter 1).

this cookbook is a classic.  everyone raves about it. everyone.  i like the alice waters mantra: eat locally and sustainably; eat seasonally; shop at the farmers market, and i'm excited to learn a lot from her book.
