for me, watching this video today was especially appropriate.  yesterday, i spent a bulk of my workday figuring out how a little problem ballooned into a big problem.  after a trip and many phone calls, the problem was finally sorted, but i was left feeling uncomfortable.  i was left feeling like i could've done more.

what i could've done correlated directly to sheryl's point #1 of women needing to "sit at the table" and be active in furthering themselves.  i should've taken the reins and figured out the root of the problem from the get go.  instead i didn't want to infringe on another person's job, and the problem was left to fester and get worse.

in 2011, i vow to take the reins.
