come shopping with me: lace up boots

i love hybrid boots..hiking boots plus a heel? awesome! victorian with a shearling lining? rockin! flat equestrian with studs? i am all over it!

seriously, boots have all the fun..

this year, it is all about a lace-up boot, and boy are there a lot to choose from! i love options! recently, i headed out to the mall to check out boot options from the usual suspects..

first up, nine west:

this military boot has received quite a bit of press, and no wonder because it is fierce..for me, there was one big problem..there was way too much space between the top of the boot and my ankles..being that these are faux-laces, there wasn't much i could do to remedy the situation, and unfortunately i had to pass..

next i headed to steve madden:

these boots make my feet look like hooves..not cute at all..i'm chalking it up to the wedge heel and the short toe..

moved on to macys:

ankle-wise, these boots fit snugly..only thing? they are too sexy for day, and i am not sexy during the day..

finally, i ended up at aldo:

Aldo Lecaros $130 at Aldo

these were the chosen ones..the bit of fabric at the top kept the boot fitting snugly around my ankle, it was high, and the slightly rounded toe works for both day and night..i loved them from the moment i tried them..
