daily bag

my requirements for a daily bag are pretty typical, with the most important being that it must take me from work to play, and play to work.  because on a day like today, i really wish i didn't change my bag over the weekend because that poor letter stuck at the post office? it's still stuck.

this sounds like it would be easy, but it's actually not.  work bags are typically structured so as to support documents, reading materials, and occasionally a laptop computer.  play bags are typically less structured and take well to being thrown around.  suffice it to say, i had been on the hunt for a basic black daily bag for quite some time, and was starting to get frustrated.

my mother understood my turmoil, and embarked on her own hunt to find me a bag for christmas this year.  and boy, did she deliver! she gifted me the perfect daily bag, and me and my yves saint laurent downtown tote have been inseparable ever since.

i can throw everything but the kitchen sink in it, and the front pocket is the perfect size for my cell phone and business cards i collect during the day.  the buffalo leather is sturdy but not stiff, the goldtone accents add luxe, and the straps are long enough to carry by arm or shoulder.
