false lashes

saturday night, i will be celebrating the birthday of one of my closest girlfriends.  ang is the friend who says to me almost every time we go out, "dress up! no jeans!"

so whenever i go out with ang, it's understood that my primping routine will be about 10 minutes longer than usual.  with those 10 minutes usually spent fiddling with fake lashes and attempting to place them without pulling out my real lashes (of which i'm averaging around 30% success..going up!)

my absolute favorite fake lashes are the soft cross style by shu uemura.  but with shu uemura gone from department stores, and my general laziness in ordering online, i really don't know when i'll ever get another pair.

so today, while picking up cotton puffs from my local japanese market (asian brand puffs are far superior to anything found at the drugstore), i also picked up a pair of these pa lashes in 01:

i bought them primarily for the crossed lash design.  by glance alone, i already see differences that make me mourn the accessibility of my shu lashes. but the price and accessibility of the pa lashes make me very hopeful that these can at least tide me over until i cave in and order the shu lashes online.  i'll let you know after the weekend!
