this article on new york magazine's website. it's a rather fascinating look at the dispute between tory burch and her ex-husband chris burch who has started a brand that is eerily similar to hers.

my take? what sells is the bottom line. and the bottom line seems to be encapsulated in this caption of why he decided to launch the brand, "c. wonder is the
realization of a long-held dream to provide low-to-mid-price retail in a luxury setting."
took a spin through the website, and i have to say that this is a store that i would have a lot of fun in.
