Tatcha skincare

this past weekend, my friend and i headed out to Barneys for a Tatcha facial.  Normally, I'm pretty hesitant of trying new skincare products outright, but i had read great things about the tatcha skincare line.

here's the catch.  they say the facial is "complimentary", but i always end up buying a product or two anyways.  i just don't have the balls to get on out of there without buying something.  if you do, more power to you!

the tatcha skincare regimen is ridiculously simple.  the line consists of a cleansing oil, rice enzyme exfoliating powder, brightening serum, and moisturizing cream.  the specialty treatments include hydrating sheet masks, dewy skin mist, and oil blotting sheets.

the facial basically is an application of all the products with a nice neck and arm massage while the sheet mask does it's thing.

i'm still using up my sunday riley moisturizer so i left the store with:

one step camellia cleansing oil ($48):  you know how oily girls are terrified of cleansing their faces with oil? for me, multiply that fear x 10.  i have never been able to cleanse with anything remotely oil-based until now.  i am adoring this cleansing oil.  it takes of all of my makeup, and rinses clean away with no residue whatsoever.

classic rice enzyme powder ($65): honestly, this powder feels more like foamy fizz when i apply it, but it could be that i'm just measuring wrong (you're supposed to mix a tsp. of powder with just a touch of water).  but no matter what, my skin feels so soft and smooth after i use this.  i especially like how the bottle has a slide stopper that prevents water from accidentally getting into the powder while you're washing.

i left the store with samples of the brightening serum and moisture silk cream, so i'll be using those up in conjunction with my full size products.  if the facial was any indication, i will definitely be back in store to pick up those products when the weather turns a bit more crisp.
