if you're like me, work is not just in an office. there's a whole other networking aspect of work that comes in the form of events, dinners, mixers, etc. at these events, i always seem to 1) forget my cards 2) collect many other cards that end up cluttering my bags, and eventually get lost. i cannot emphasize how annoying it is when you want to write a follow up email to one particular person, and you just can't find their card anywhere. I get all boiled up just thinking about it.
i have a basic business card holder that i picked up at henri bendel, and it has changed my life. no more lost or forgotten cards between bags. but for my bff, i could not resist getting her the ultimate business card holder:
