gloss stains

my concern with bold lips has always been lasting power.  i always neglect to re-apply lip products, and that habit doesn't bode so well when lips are the focus of the face.  

but, that has all changed since the release of the glossy stains.  

i started off by picking up a tube of the much loved and hyped YSL glossy stains.  After much testing at sephora, i left with #20 rouge enamel which is a beautiful red with a slight shimmer.  i pair this often with simple lined eyes and a touch of blush.  this stuff is awesome.  the pigmentation is fierce, the texture is non-drying, and it does last quite the long time.  

then, while picking up contact solution at target, i decided to buy a tube of the maybelline 10 hour stain gloss in "cool coral".  the texture and pigmentation is quite similar to the YSL stains, and i love the fiery reddish coral color.  

i love both, but i'll definitely pick up more colors of the maybelline stain gloss.  $7.00 is a world away from the $32.00 of the YSL.
