birchbox

a couple months ago, i decided to join birchbox, the subscription beauty box service that sends deluxe samples every month for $10. 

i thought it would be a good way to try new products, and also amass products that would come in handy when i travel. 

i wasn't as hyped about last months box which included a turquoise nail polish, but the may box had me pleasantly surprised.

the items i'm most excited about?

-full-size stila sparkle waterproof liquid eyeliner in "flash" (olive green).  i would normally never buy this color in the store, and i'm loving it.  the pen is really easy to use, draws a substantial line, and has just the right amount of sparkle.  plus, these stila liners retail for $22, so i'm totally getting my money's worth. 

-ojon volume advance conditioner.  i love trying samples of new hair products.  this conditioner is weightless and leaves my hair pretty soft. 

-twistband red hair tie.  one cannot have enough hair ties, and a red hair tie is just really exciting.

-notecard and envelope.  this will probably show up in a package i send to my bff sometime.
